Our inaugural photography contest is a way to recognize Zoe’s love of art and photography.

Hope is a vital part of our well-being and helps us to move forward. For our inaugural photography contest, submit a photograph that represents what ‘Hope’ means you.

Who Can Enter

Palm Beach County students in grades 7-8 or grades 9-12.

Fees

There is no fee to enter the contest

When Can I Enter

Jan 1, 2022 through February 14, 2022

Public Voting for People’s Choice Award

February 15 – March 15

Judging

Photographs will be judged by three professional photographers in the following areas:

1. Technical Skill
2. Creativity
3. Responsiveness to the prompt
4. Overall Impact

The judges will be looking for work that reflects your personal vision and is technically proficient, including proper exposure, focus, contrast and color balance.

You are responsible for the quality of your submission, and for adherence to the contest guidelines. Incomplete or improperly formatted submissions will not be considered for an award.

All submitted work must be original and may not infringe on the copyright or other intellectual property of any other person.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each of the two grade categories (7-8 and 9-12).

Prizes

1st Place - Gift card for 6 hours of private instruction (or a class/workshop) at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre and a $500 gift card to The ProShop for Photographers.

2nd Place - Gift card for 4 hours of private instruction (or a class/workshop) at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre and a $250 gift card to The ProShop for Photographers.

3rd Place - Gift card for 2 hours of private instruction (or a class/workshop)at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre and a $100 gift card to The ProShop for Photographers.

People's Choice Award - Gift card for 2 hours of private instruction (or a class/workshop) at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre and a $100 gift card to The ProShop for Photographers.

The Zoe Loren Foundation was established to celebrate Zoe’s life and to honor her memory by providing opportunities in the arts for under-served K-12 Palm Beach County students. Our goal is to use the power of art to engage, inspire and empower local students via individual scholarships, as well as funding to local non-profits in need of an arts program.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of Palm Beach County’s children by providing opportunities for exploration and inspiration.
